Description
"A Star of Spring Award Winner for 2000". Bred by Jack Hobbs at the Auckland Regional Botanic Garden. ‘First Light’ combines the handsome foliage, cold & disease hardiness of some of the South Island species with the more showy flowers of Hebe speciosa types. The result is a spreading compact shrub with healthy bronze-green foliage & racemes of showy pink flowers throughout the summer. A good subject for mass planting in mixed borders or containers. Great for coastal plantings. Hardy. 30cm x 90cm.

Compact spreading habit.
Culture
Fertile well-drained soils in sun or part shade. Feed regularly to maintain performance. Trim after flowering if needed. Tolerates coastal conditions.
