Euphorbia Kea
Botanical
Euphorbia characias
Description
This exciting new compact selection from the UK forms a tight compact mound of long blue-grey foliage. The tightest Euphorbia we have seen to date in NZ. In late winter to early spring, the terminal flower spikes flush pink-red before opening. The blooms open to form a cloud of gold, which completely covers the foliage. An excellent low maintenance selection for the front of the border, also perfectly at home in pots & containers on the deck & patio. Best grown in well-drained soils in full sun. Cut back spent flower stems to encourage new shoots. Hardy. 0.45 x 0.25m.
